...Scattered Thunderstorms Possible Overnight...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Atlantic coastal waters,
southeast Florida, southern Florida, southwest Florida and Gulf of
Mexico.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Thunderstorms: Scattered thunderstorms will continue to be possible
overnight. An isolated strong thunderstorm cannot be ruled out mainly
across the Lake Okeechobee region containing gusty winds and small
hail.

Rip Currents: There is a moderate risk of rip currents along the
Collier County beaches.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Heat indices of 100 to 105 degrees will continue across most of the
area for the rest of this week and into the upcoming weekend. Peak
heat indices of 105 to 110 degrees will be possible during this time
frame especially over interior sections.

Thunderstorms will be possible each afternoon through the rest of
week, with the best chances for storms being Thursday afternoon and
possibly again during the weekend into early next week. Some of the
stronger storms could contain heavy rain, gusty winds, small hail,
and frequent lightning.

Weather spotters are encouraged to report high wind, hail, and
flooding to the National Weather Service forecast office in Miami.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Florida Keys and
adjacent coastal waters.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Isolated thunderstorms will be possible Wednesday night through
Sunday. The primary hazards will be lightning strikes and locally
gusty winds.

In addition, a combination of daytime highs near or in the lower
90s coupled with dew points in the mid to upper 70s will result
in heat index values ranging from 105 to 108 today.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Isolated thunderstorms will be possible Thursday and again
beginning Saturday evening, continuing through Tuesday. The
primary hazards will be lightning strikes and locally gusty winds.

In addition, a combination of daytime highs near or in the lower
90s coupled with dew points in the mid to upper 70s may result in
heat index values exceeding 108. Should confidence increase that
these values will exceed 108, Heat Advisories may be required
especially Thursday through Sunday.

Otherwise, no hazardous weather is expected at this time.
